Role Summary/Purpose: The Airworthiness Team Leader demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. In this role you will:
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to Airworthiness team for A&C tasks
  • Establish the technical requirements, objectives, timing, resources and funding required and assuring conformance to standards and specifications
  • Manage the Airworthiness aspects of Certification programs
  • Maintain an up to date DOH (including associated procedures) and EASA Part 21 approval
  • Ensure Design changes and non conformance are in accordance with the regulations are processed in a timely manner
  • Maintain good relationship with EASA
  • Provide Certification approaches, process integration solutions and product entry into service compliant to all regulatory aspects
  • Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE customers using Service Bulletins, or other appropriate documentation
  • As necessary, make decisions affecting airworthiness and environmental protection as per delegation in Design Organization Handbook
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science or a high school diploma with strong engineering, scientific or other technical experience
  • Strong experience in an engineering position, preferably in an Airworthiness department
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Procedural and Technical Airworthiness Regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English language
