Role Summary/Purpose: | The Product Integration Center (PIC) Manager demonstrates leadership of the PIC engineering function for the GE Aviation Czech, leads a team of engineers, designers and technicians at the Prague site and reports to the Engineering Director. The Manager is responsible for all engineering functional activities associated with the create, execute and maintain phases of the turboprop product lifecycle for the engine controls system and aircraft interface hardware. |
Essential Responsibilities: | - Assure technical excellence and safety in all products,
- Provide day-to-day leadership for the Product Integration Center team, including liaison with and oversight of key controls and externals suppliers,
- Set long term strategy for the growth of engineering talent to support future products,
- Integrates with the GE Aviation Engineering division to capture synergy opportunities and leverages the expertise of the global network,
- Coordinates talent reviews, long range growth strategies and annual operating reviews for the engineering function,
- Provide leadership for unyielding compliance and integrity,
- Plan / develop technical and management processes to improve both team and customer productivity,
- Influence design concepts while leveraging historical data and experiences,
- Provide consulting service to program managers and other personnel,
- Implement actions needed to attain quality designs, which lead to technical excellence in GEAC products,
- Ensure that technically sound, creative advancements in design are integrated throughout all processes, practices and products,
- Identify root cause solutions to products and process technical issues,
- Provide support to commercial Bid Management activities to ensure executable bids are proposed,
- Improve areas of project execution and department management through Six Sigma methodology, metrics and data,
- Support in-house development of approved repair capabilities,
- Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive actions resulting from Quality non-compliance monitoring and audit programs,
- Fully support manufacturing, sourcing, test, quality and service and product support to ensure optimal delivery, quality, cost and customer satisfaction of products and services.

Qualifications/Requirements: | - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college of Science in Engineering,
- Strong technical leadership experience in the area of turbine engines and turbine engine controls, accessories, externals and airframe installations,
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills,
- Ability to influence and inspire the others and lead small teams,
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
